Team Yemen 🇾🇪, Social Media Challenge #10 is here: Robot Reveal! 🤖
We, the Yemen team, love to share our ideas in robot design and provide solutions that other teams may benefit from. We are all one big family that helps each other.
The team has designed and programmed two robots with two different ideas to achieve the four goals of the First Global 2023 Championship in Singapore, which focuses on Hydrogen Horizon. These goals are as follows:
1. Production of green hydrogen.
2. Safe storage of hydrogen and oxygen produced from water electrolysis.
3. Safe transportation of hydrogen and oxygen to areas of utilization.
4. Conversion of hydrogen into a useful form of energy.
The robots perform these tasks in different ways. The first robot separates hydrogen atoms from oxygen through mechanical separation and then transfers them to the launcher, which throws the atoms into the hydrogen tank. The hydrogen tank is automatically transported using a towing mechanism to the conversion area, and the robot is eventually lifted with the alliance teams using a gear-driven lift.
Meanwhile, the second robot performs the same operations but in different ways. It collects oxygen and hydrogen atoms using a collector and smoothly lifts the atoms to the electrolyzer, which separates oxygen atoms from hydrogen. The rear collector captures hydrogen atoms and stores them. Then, the robot transfers the hydrogen atoms to the hydrogen tank using a lifting box. The robot can move smoothly to achieve complete alignment with the hydrogen tank to complete the process of converting hydrogen into another energy source. After the release process, the robot can attach itself to the central area using the large collector at the front of the robot.
